Insurance & Coverage
I believe that high-quality doula support should be as accessible as possible. I’m proud to be contracted with several insurance and benefits programs that may fully or partially cover your care.
Medicaid (Health First Colorado)
CHP+ (Child Health Plan Plus)

If you have different insurance provider than the ones listed below:
Check your insurance type: Medicaid, fully insured, or self-funded
Call your insurers member services and ask
“Does my plan include doula services under SB24-175?”
“If yes, what’s covered? How do I access it?”
“If no, is it self-funded or pending regulatory approval?”
Ask your doula if they are credentialed and billing under this benefit structure.
Medicaid and CHP+
I’m an approved provider through Medicaid and CHP+, which means that if you have Medicaid or CHP+ insurance, your doula services are 100% covered with no out-of-pocket cost.
Coverage includes everything in my Standard Birth Package. For birth only or prenatal or postpartum focused care, please contact me directly to discuss your options.
Medicaid covers doula services for families planning a home birth, birth center, or hospital birth.
How it works:
• During our intake, you provide your member ID and your provider’s NPI number. I handle the rest!
• Coverage is valid only for families actively enrolled in Medicaid throughout the duration of our work together.
• Only one doula may bill for a given service, so you must not hire another doula for the same services.
With Medicaid, your doula support through Grounding Touch Doula Services is fully covered, so you can focus on your journey without financial stress.
Kaiser Permanente
I’m an approved provider with Kaiser Permanente for birth doula services. If your plan includes the doula benefit, you may qualify for up to 11 visits, which can include a combination of prenatal and postpartum appointments, plus labor and birth support.
When you have this benefit, I as your doula bill Kaiser directly, so there are no out-of-pocket expenses for you.
I’m happy to help you understand your coverage and guide you through the process so you can make the most of your benefits and get the support you need throughout your journey.
📞 Tip: Call Kaiser Member Services and ask if your plan covers “doula care” or “fertility support services” and what documentation is required. This number should be on the back of your insurance card.
Carrot Fertility
I’m an approved Carrot Fertility provider, which means clients with Carrot benefits can use their coverage for my birth doula and fertility doula/coaching services. If your employer offers Carrot, you can typically submit the invoice I send you directly through your Carrot account for reimbursement.
Coverage for postpartum support varies by employer plan—some include it under “family support” or “postpartum recovery,” while others do not—so it’s best to check with your HR or Carrot representative.
